This vented backing plate is a performance upgrade to your corded 6" Random Orbital and cordless 5" Lithium-Ion Random Orbital. It's a win-win as our exclusive heat management system with vertical and horizontal cooling ports delivers smoother operation, longer pad life, and better results. The plate features firm yet flexible high-density urethane foam with chamfered edges for flexibility and improved contouring over and around body panels. The plate's center recess further reduces heat transfer. The Velcro® brand Micro-Hook attachment is optimized to create the perfect balance between strong pad engagement and easy disengagement. Plate also has rotational speed markings for optimum pad speed control.

Note: Fits Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbitals (item # 10750, 10765, or 10813), the G9 (item # 10901), and random orbital/dual-action tools that accept a 5/16" - 24 threaded shaft. Is not compatible with the four-screw mounting system on the original Griot's Garage Random Orbital (item # 10925).
