A properly cleaned tire and wheel is the foundation of any lasting protection. Surface residue, embedded grime, and dressing buildup left on the tire create a barrier that prevents new product from bonding correctly. Tire and Wheel Cleaner uses emulsifiers and deep-cleaning surfactants to break the bond between contamination and the rubber surface, pulling out embedded material quickly and completely. Most wheel and tire cleaners are built to make a tire look clean, while still leaving contamination behind. Know Before You Use
Tire and Wheel Cleaner is formulated for rubber tires as well as powder coated and clear coat painted wheels and calipers. It is not a wheel acid and should not be used as a substitute for acid-based products designed to dissolve heavy brake dust deposits from bare metal surfaces. Do not use on bare magnesium or raw aluminum wheels.
For tires already treated with FEYNLAB Black Velvet, do not use this product for routine maintenance washing. Use FEYNLAB Pure Wash for ongoing maintenance on Black Velvet-treated tires. Tire and Wheel Cleaner is a preparation and deep cleaning product, not a general maintenance wash.
Directions: Tires Only
- Place the vehicle in a well-lit environment between 50°F and 85°F (10°C to 30°C).
- Wear protective gloves. A respirator is recommended.
- Spray Tire and Wheel Cleaner evenly across the tire from bottom to top.
- Allow the product to dwell for at least 10 seconds.
- Scrub thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush until all visible debris is removed.
- Rinse the entire area thoroughly with free-flowing water.
Directions: Tires and Wheels Together
- Spray the product uniformly from bottom to top across both the tire and wheel.
- Begin with the wheel. Use a soft bristle brush to gently agitate the surface.
- Move to the tire and scrub with a stiff bristle brush.
- Rinse both surfaces thoroughly with free-flowing water.
- For long-term wheel protection after deep cleaning, follow up with FEYNLAB Ceramic Wheel and Caliper. For tires, follow up with FEYNLAB Black Velvet Tire Sealant for lasting protection and a clean, consistent finish.
Directions: Water-Restricted Areas
- Spray Tire and Wheel Cleaner onto a microfiber towel and apply directly to the tire and wheel surfaces.
- Rotate the towel frequently to expose a clean side as contamination is lifted.
- Most contamination will be removed in the first pass. Repeat on heavily soiled surfaces as needed.
- Once cleaning is complete, thoroughly wipe all cleaned surfaces with a water-saturated towel to remove any remaining product residue from the rubber and wheel.
