Ceramic coatings are commonly single-phase in nature, and for shorter-term protection that is a capable solution. Ultra is built for installers and vehicle owners who want more. It delivers true long-term durability alongside the highest level of surface performance available in a single ceramic coating, including hydrophobicity, gloss, and self-cleaning ability. The technology that makes this possible is our Biphasal Chemistry, a proprietary advancement exclusive to FEYNLAB that changes how a ceramic coating is built and 0what it can deliver.
Biphasal Technology
A single-phase formula cannot fully optimize for both a hard, durable base layer and a high-performing hydrophobic surface layer at the same time. The chemistry required for each is fundamentally different in nature. The industry response has been to separate them into two products applied in two distinct steps, adding time and complexity to every installation.
Biphasal Technology solves that problem. The two components inside Ceramic Ultra are immiscible. Like oil and water, they do not naturally combine. FEYNLAB’s proprietary chemistry holds them in a stable, unified formula that applies evenly as a single product across the panel.
Once on the surface, the curing process changes everything. The two components begin to separate based on density. The heavier basecoat compound migrates downward, anchoring into the paint surface and forming a thick, durable protective layer. The lighter topcoat rises to the surface, where it cures as the outermost layer of the coating.
The result is a true dual-layer architecture built from a single application step. The basecoat delivers structural protection, chemical resistance, and depth of color. The topcoat delivers hydrophobicity, slickness, and gloss. Neither component compromises the other because they occupy separate positions within the cured surface. The installer gets the performance of a two-product system without the additional step.
What Ceramic Ultra Delivers
The basecoat forms a hard, chemically resistant film that bonds to the paint surface at the nano level. It protects against environmental contamination, UV degradation, chemical etching, and surface marring.
The topcoat produces a water contact angle of 113 degrees. Making it one of the most hydrophobic coatings ever produced. Water beads tightly and releases from the surface with minimal force. Road grime, dust, and organic contamination have limited ability to bond to the surface, which reduces the effort required to keep the vehicle clean.
Together, the two layers produce a depth and gloss that a single-phase coating cannot replicate. The visual effect is not a surface-level shine. It reads through the coating into the paint beneath it.
No topcoat is needed with Ceramic Ultra. However, Overcoat V3 is always acceptable for those who enjoy some added slickness and longevity. It is also the recommended topper for yearly maintenance washes.
