What are dipped airway buffing wheels?
Dipped buffing wheels are manufactured as regular buffing wheels at the beginning but then later are dipped in a glue solution that hardens the mill treated cotton material to a very aggressive stiffness. Consider using dipped polishing wheels where only the most aggressive metal polishing operation are required.

    The 8” Orange Ruffy Airway is a heavy cut wheel designed for aggressive cutting and initial metal correction. It will remove oxidation and defects faster, but it is not intended to leave as fine of a finish as the Red wheel.

    The Red Airway is a finer finishing wheel, so it’s expected to produce a smoother final result. For best results, we recommend using the Orange for the initial cut and following with the Red to refine and finish.
